Bodyweight 350: Part II

I finished Bodyweight 350 today in 28 minutes.  Yay!   That’s a pass (I think).  I did six sets of HIIT training on the treadmill and then went into Bodyweight 350.   Initially, I thought I couldn’t finish the workout because my hamstring was acting up.  My lower body strength is pretty weak as compared to my upper body.  The prisoner squats were tough as hell.   Of course, the last 15 pullouts was a real killer.  I had to break it up in sets of three.

 After I finished the workout, I felt like puking and was quite woozy for a while!  Also, lost my appetite.  I could only eat an hour later.  Mrs. T is pretty cross with all this over-exercising.

After the first Bodyweight 350, I had to go for a massage at House of Traditional Javanese Massage Hut.  Every part of my body was aching and the massage felt really good.  My regular masseur did say that my shoulder blades were very hard and suggested I go for a ginger treatment next time to soften it.  Hmmm.  Like steamed fish!  Of course, I had to go wreck her good work by doing another round of Bodyweight 350.  Hope I don’t feel too destroyed tomorrow.  I think I won’t exercise until Friday this week.   


Tried teaching Mrs. T how to cook tuna pasta today.  It is something I used to cook in the UK.  Mrs. T actually said it’s my best dish ever!  Tuna pasta sounds really gross – but it is actually quite delicious.  The trick is to use a certain brand of canned whole tomatoes.  I thought you couldn’t get this particular brand in Singapore but I found it recently in Cold Storage.  Mrs. T was really happy that her beloved tuna pasta is back.  I wonder whether she will be able to make it herself after my instructions.

Bodyweight 350

 Did this workout today which only utilises your bodyweight .  I thought it looked really easy but it turned out to be tough.  It really took a lot out of me – I was feeling kinda woozy during dinner and my legs felt like jelly.  The prisoner squats and the lunges were tough!  And the pullouts were a killer.   Finished the workout in 38 minutes – which is a fail unfortunately. I am supposed to finish it in 30 minutes.  I guess I am not as fit as I thought.  Hopefully, I can do it within the stipulated time the next time round.   I am quite tired from the workout and will probably sleep early today.


Discovered a pretty good pan mee in Beauty World Centre Hawker Centre today when I went out for lunch with Mrs. T.  Hooray.  Pan Mee in Singapore tend to be damn gross e.g. the horrendous Qiu Lian Pan Mee which has a thick inedible floury soup.  This Pan Mee had a nice clear soup.  I will probably go back to this stall again.


Dinner was with my cousins and Mrs. T.  Coffee later at Jones the Grocer.  The coffee was a little below standard but I really like the atmosphere of Jones.  It is nice to get to know my cousins.  Part of my resolution to make an effort to be closer to my relatives.

Savage Chickens

This cartoon sort of sums out how I have been feeling since my father died.  Makes me wonder what is the point of life, really.  Coupled with  inexplicable waves of sadness (which usually comes over me especially when I am exercising) and periodic anxiety attacks about death.  It’s really strange – I haven’t felt like this or thought about death since I was 10.

On a less depressing mode, I had a huge 3 hours working lunch today.  Loads of details discussed and too much food consumed.  I didn’t want to eat so much but I thought my hosts would be offended if I didn’t finish my food.   Hopefully, my colleague will follow up on the details and I won’t have to do too much.  I was so stuffed I could hardly eat dinner.  Had a bowl of Myojo Chicken Abalone instant noodles for dinner.  Before dinner I went jogging around Bukit Batok Nature Reserve today.  I ran from Jalan Jurong Kechil all the way up to Rail Mall and looped back from Hillview.  The weather was cool but the air way too moist.  No wonder the condominiums around this area are really mossy.   Before coming back, I did some pull ups, dips and push ups at the exercise corner in the Nature Reserve.  But it was really dark so I didn’t linger and jogged back home.
